Measure W Citizen Bond Oversight Committee

The Hanford Joint Union High School District (HJUHSD) was successful on November 8, 2016 in obtaining authorization from the District's voters to issue up to $33,000,000 aggregate principal amount of the District’s general obligation bonds (the “Measure W”).

The Measure W election was conducted under Proposition 39 and pursuant to Section 15278 of the Education Code, the District is obligated to establish an Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) in order to satisfy the accountability requirements of Prop 39.

The Board of Trustees of the Hanford Joint Union High School District has established an Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee and has granted it the duties and rights set forth in the Bylaws. The Committee does not have independent legal capacity from the District.

The Committee will review expenditures solely for projects paid for using bond funds generated under Measure W. The Committee shall inform the public of said expenditures and present an annual report to the Board of Trustees at a public meeting each year.

The Board is currently accepting applications for the CBOC through 4:00 p.m.on August 31, 2017. Applications are available on this web site or may be picked up at the District Office located at 823 W. Lacey Blvd., Hanford, CA 93230.
