The LCAP stands for Local Control Accountability Plan and encompasses an in-depth data analysis of student achievement data and parent survey to determine academic areas of strength and concern. Goals for improvement are developed with input of all staff members, parent communities, and instructional leadership teams. The LCAP also includes the the LCFF Budget Overview for Parents (BOP) which gives an overview on how LCFF funds will be used to serve students. You can our LCAP here. 

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires state educational agencies to determine school eligibility for comprehensive support and improvement (CSI). Local educational agencies (LEAs) with schools that meet the criteria for CSI must collaborate with educational partners to locally develop and implement a plan to improve student outcomes.

Hanford Joint Union High School District was awarded Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO) Grant funds. This fund was awarded to provide supplemental instruction to students, including those identified as needing academic, social-emotional and other support, including the provision of meals and snacks. School districts, county offices, or charter schools that receive Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds under the American Rescue Plan Act, referred to as ESSER III funds are required to develop a plan for how they will use their ESSER III funds. The School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) is meant to consolidate all school-level planning efforts into one plan for programs funded through the consolidated application (ConApp). You can find each site's SPSA here. 

LEAs were required to report an overview of changes to program offering in response to the COVID-19 emergency, the major impacts on students and families, and how the LEA is meeting the needs of unduplicated students. You can find Hanford Joint Union High School's COVID-19 Operations Report here. 

By February 1st of each year, every school in California is required by state law to publish a School Accountability Report Card (SARC). The SARC contains information about the condition and performance of each California public school. You can find each site's School Accountability Report Card here. 

Hanford Joint Union High School District and Hanford Online Charter was allocated funds from Proposition 28 to enhance its arts education programs, benefiting both students and faculty alike. An LEA that receives Title I, Part A funds shall develop jointly with, agree on with, and distribute to, parents and family members of participating children a written Parent and Family Engagement Policy. You can find HJUHSD's Parent & Family Engagement Policy here. 

HJUHSD provides multiple opportunities for parents to get involved in their student's education. One way you can get involved is by joining the district's Community Advisory Committee (CAC). This is a district wide committee in which staff, students, parents and community members can join to discuss the LCAP and provide feedback.
