Ceramics & Sculpture 2


Course Description:
This course will provide students with an extended understanding of clay and glaze. Students will display their understanding of Elements of Art and Principles of Design and will experiment with various materials, methods, and techniques to fabricate 3-dimensional designs with a focus on clay as a medium. Clay techniques include Pinch, Coil, Soft Slab, Hard Slab, wheel thrown, and combinations of these techniques. Students will present their artwork and be expected to talk and critique their own work as well as their peers in order to better understanding the creative process, final products, and audience perception.

How is this course assigned?
Students must have passed Ceramics & Sculpture 1 as a prerequisite
