3-D Design - AP


Course Description:
This 3D Design Art course will provide students with an advanced-level curriculum for students to use their technical skills and generate ideas to create original works of art. Students will be investigating a topic of their choice and synthesizing the Principles of Design while experimenting with various materials, methods, and techniques. Students will be working on 3 learning goals for the school year: 1. Inquiry of a topic & investigation of materials, processes, & ideas. Furthermore, it is a synthesis of what we use, how we use it, and why we use it. 2. Making artwork by following these guidelines: practice, experimentation, & revision. 3. Communication & Reflections- Clearly identify how artwork ties to a Sustained Investigation. Art portfolio which my be submitted to the AP Board at the end of the course.

How is this course assigned?

Students must have passed Art 1 and have Teacher Approval and an AP Contract as a prerequisite.
