American Sign Language (ASL) 2


Course Description:
This is designed to engage students in conversation using ASL at a level expected for intermediate signers. Students will expand conversational skills such: turn-taking, discussing culturally appropriate topics, and leave-taking. Students will also learn how to explain simple experiences and events using ASL. In addition, students will be able to demonstrate awareness of cultural nuances and identify significant movements in Deaf history. These objectives will be achieved through various activities, demonstrations, role-play, media, and small group interaction.

How is this course assigned?
Students must have received a minimum grade of C in American Sign Language 1 as a prerequisite.
