Proposed Increase in Level 1 Development Fees
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Boards of Trustees of the Hanford Joint Union High School District has previously conducted a public hearing on a proposed Development Fee Justification Study. The hearing was held May 24, 2022.
FUTHER TAKE NOTICE that following an additional public hearing on June 28, 2022, the Board will consider a resolution to adopt the increase in the Level 1 development fees to the new state statutory maximums of $4.79 per square foot for residential development and $0.78 for commercial/industrial development. (The fees currently charged are $4.08 per square foot for residential development and $0.66 for commercial/industrial development.) In non-unified districts, the fees are split between the elementary and high school districts with the elementary districts receiving 60% of the fees and the high school district receiving 40% of the fees. The development fees will be used for the purpose of funding the construction or reconstruction of school facilities.
