ParentSquare Registration Instructions

We are almost at the official registration point in our incoming freshmen timeline, how exciting! The registration form will allow your student to choose course requests, fill out the freshmen interest survey and more! You will register your student between February 13th - February 24th, 2023. You will receive a link to a digital form within ParentSquare that you will need to complete in order to register your incoming freshman for high school on Monday, February 13th. ParentSquare is the communication system used by the District. It allows you to receive important information throughout the course of your child's educational experience at HJUHSD.
Please test your access to ParentSquare prior to the registration window. Check out the instructions below and give it a try!
"How To" in ParentSquare for Email users

Activate Your Account
Activating Your Account

An email was sent (to the email address for you provided by your student’s middle school) inviting you to activate your account in ParentSquare. This was originally sent on 12/20/22 and would show up from donotreply@parentsquare.com

By clicking on Activate your account, you will be taken to a webpage where you can create a password and officially register your ParentSquare account
The email invitation will look something like this:
When you click on Activate your account it will take you to a webpage that looks like this:

Once you have activated your account you can simply “sign in” to access your ParentSquare account. You can find the sign in page at: www.parentsquare.com

Enter your email and password and click the Sign In button to access your account

If you can’t remember your password click on Forgot Password? to reset it

Update Notifications/Language Settings
Update User Settings via Web Browser
You can update your notifications & settings from your account page:

Turn on email/phone/app notifications
-
Set messages to be sent to you instantly or daily in a digest message
-
Update your language preferences
To do this follow the steps below:
-
In ParentSquare, click on your user name located in the upper right corner of the page
-
To update notifications settings: click on Notification Settings located in the left sidebar menu. Then update your notifications to fit your preference.

To update language settings: click on Language Settings located in the left sidebar menu. Then choose your preferred language.

Method #1

By clicking on Form, you will be taken to the post in ParentSquare which contains the form

Please note, if you are not already signed into ParentSquare, you will be able to see the post with the form but not fill out the form. There will be a green bar at the top of the post that says Limited functionality is available as you are not signed in. Please sign in here. Click on that link to sign in so that you can complete the form. If you are already signed into ParentSquare you will be able to fill out the form.

You will then be taken to the post in ParentSquare with the registration form. Please note: if you are not already signed into ParentSquare you will not be able to fill out the form. Click on sign in here in the green bar at the top of the post to sign into your account so you can fill out the form.

The post with the registration form will most likely be at the top of your post feed. Click on Complete Form at the bottom of the post to open the form.

If you don’t see the post at the top of your post feed and you are having trouble locating the email with the post you can locate the form in ParentSquare by:

On the right side of the post feed, you will see a box titled Links. This box will hold links that are shared with you, one of which will be a link to the post with the registration form. Click on the registration form link to access the post with the form.

Parents cannot edit a form submitted through ParentSquare however, they can delete the form and then resubmit it while the form window is still open (2/13/23 - 2/24/23).

In ParentSquare, click on your username located in the upper right corner of the page

Click on My Account
-
Click on Forms located in the left sidebar menu
-
You will see the form you filled out. Click on the trash icon located to the right of the form.

A window will pop up asking you to confirm you want to delete the form. Click Yes, I’m Positive.
-
Click on Home located in the upper left corner of the screen to go back to your post feed
-
You should see the post that includes the registration form. Click on Complete Form located in the bottom left of the post

Confirming Form Submission

In ParentSquare, click on your username located in the upper right corner of the page

Click on My Account

Click on Forms located in the left sidebar menu. If you do not see Forms in the left sidebar menu it means that you did not fill out the form.

If you filled out the form, you will see it listed here.
If a parent wants to see the data they entered in the form they should continue from the last step:

Click on the form title under Post “[School Site Name] Registration Form”
-
It will take you to the post with the registration form. At the bottom of the form you will see your form input. Click on View to the right of your form input.

A pop up window will appear showing you what you entered in the form. Data can not be changed once submitted, only deleted and resubmitted.

You can only activate your account via text or email BUT you can use the app to sign in and access your account (once your account has been registered). We highly recommend downloading the app and making it your primary method for using ParentSquare.

Once you have registered your account via text or email and downloaded the app, you can sign into ParentSquare via the app by:

Opening the app

Enter your email address or cell phone number (that you had on file with your student’s middle school)

Click Continue

You’ll be asked to enter your password

If you have downloaded the ParentSquare app and have your notifications on, you will receive a notification from the ParentSquare app with a link to the post with the registration form. This was sent on 2/13/23.

Tap on the notification the post with the form.

Tap on Forms located at the top of the post to access the registration form.

Unfortunately, parents can not delete their form response through the app, they will need to use their phone browser or web browser by following the instructions above.

In the ParentSquare app, tap on More at the bottom right of your screen

Tap on Forms/Permission

If you filled out the form, you will see it listed here.
If a parent wants to see the data they entered in the form they should continue from the last step:

It will take you to the form submission data. Tap on View Completed Form to see the data you submitted. Data can not be changed once submitted, only deleted and resubmitted.
