Career Technical Education (CTE) is a program of study that includes completing a multiyear sequence of courses in the same industry known as a pathway. These CTE pathways integrate core academic knowledge with occupational knowledge and technical skills that provide students with a smooth transition to postsecondary education and careers. During their studies, students will experience a mixture of classroom instruction, hands-on learning, and various industry partnership experiences including, but not limited to, guest speakers, industry tours and student internships.
Every student learns differently, and CTE provides an alternative approach that works to help students become college and career ready. Explore the pathways available at each of our high schools and contact their CTE Facilitator, or the HJUHSD Educational Services Office at 583-5901 for more information.
